It’s one of the most generous free tiers available, and you can always upgrade to Atomic Mail Plus if you need even more private email features.

Yes. Atomic Mail is built for secure, private email with end-to-end and zero-access encryption, so even we can’t read your encrypted content. You also get seed phrase recovery, strong spam protection, and private sign-up to help keep your account anonymous.

Yes, Atomic Mail includes email encryption as a core feature. When messaging between Atomic users, use Atomic encryption powered by ECIES. If you need to send encrypted email to a traditional provider, you can choose "Encrypt by Password" or "Encrypt as File." All encryption happens locally on your device; because we use zero-access encryption, we technically cannot decrypt your messages.

Atomic Mail Plus includes everything in the free plan, plus Hide My Email, 15 aliases instead of 10, premium support and the full AI suite inside the email app: a writing assistant, grammar checker, summarizer, translator, security helper and read-aloud.

To upgrade to Atomic Mail Plus on the web version, click Unlock Plus in the bottom-left corner or open your profile menu in the top-right and choose Upgrade to Plus. In the mobile email app, tap your profile icon in the top-right and select Upgrade to Atomic Mail Plus.

You should keep your Atomic Mail email app updated because we regularly release new features, security patches, and bug fixes.
On iOS and Android, updates are available through the App Store or Google Play.
On Windows or macOS, the app will show an in-app updater when a new version is available, so you can install the latest update directly from the desktop app.
