Hello Atomic Mail Community!
We're excited to give you an inside look at the Atomic Mail roadmap for the next couple of quarters (Q2 & Q3 2025)! Your feedback is driving our mission to build the ultimate secure email experience, and we're rolling out some major upgrades in.
Let's break down what's hitting your Atomic Mail account soon:

Bringing Atomic Mail to Every Device
Getting to your secure email should be smooth and simple, no matter your device. We recently launched our mobile web version, but we know many of you are looking forward to dedicated apps. Good news – they're a big focus!
- iOS and Android apps (Q2–Q3)
Our team is working hard on standalone iOS and Android apps to provide a smoother, more integrated experience. Expect seamless functionality, push notifications, and full inbox management right from your phone. Plus, we're adding Face ID and fingerprint support for even faster, more secure access to your inbox.
- Windows and MacOS desktop apps (Q2)
Native desktop apps for Windows and MacOS are also on the way! No more relying solely on a browser – soon, you’ll be able to run Atomic Mail as a dedicated app on your computer for a streamlined, efficient, and distraction-free email experience.
- Desktop email notifications in the browser (Q2)
Prefer using the web client? Soon you'll get handy browser notifications for new emails, even if the Atomic Mail tab isn't active. Stay updated without staying glued to your inbox tab.
More Control with Custom Domains & Aliases
Get more control over your digital privacy and how you present yourself online. These new features are all about giving you more options for your email identity – from hiding your main address to creating unique, personalised ones.
- Custom domains support (Q2–Q3, Paid Plan)
Bring your own domain (you@yourbrand.com) to Atomic Mail! This feature adds a layer of professionalism for businesses and individuals, backed by our secure infrastructure. Planned for release across Q2 and Q3.
- Short email aliases (Q2, One Time Purchase)
Want a unique, easy-to-share email address? We're introducing short aliases (1-4 letters, like x@atomicmail.io or pro@atomicmail.io) as a premium option. Perfect for making your contact info stand out. We'll also launch a dedicated short aliases store where you can browse and purchase available short addresses.
- Hide My Email / Disposable aliases (Q2, Paid Plan)
This feature lets you instantly create unique, randomly generated email aliases whenever you need one. Perfect for signing up for new online services, free trials, newsletters, or anywhere you don't want to expose your real address.
Interface Customization
How your email client looks matters. That's why we're adding options to adjust the appearance of Atomic Mail, starting with:
- Dark mode theme (Q2)
A highly requested feature – Dark Mode is coming soon! Whether you prefer a sleek, modern aesthetic or just want to reduce eye strain during late-night work, this alternative theme will enhance your experience.
Looking Ahead: More to Come!
While this covers our main focus for the next few months, this is just the next phase of ongoing development.
Looking further ahead, towards the end of 2025, our team is also laying the groundwork for several exciting major features (we'll share more accurate updates later):
- Multiple AI accessibility and security features
To respect end-to-end encryption, these AI features will only work on unencrypted emails within your account:
– AI voice to text & AI text to voice: Converts voice messages to text and vice versa for easier communication.
– AI writing assistant: Helps draft emails faster with suggestions for grammar, tone, and phrasing, improving efficiency.
– AI security helper: Proactively analyzes unencrypted drafts and attachments for potentially sensitive data, recommending encryption and security measures to prevent accidental exposure.
– AI full-text search: Searches the content of your unencrypted emails, making it much easier to find information quickly.
- Forward and Import Messages from Other Services
Easily bring your existing emails into Atomic Mail or set up automatic forwarding from other email providers. This ensures a seamless transition to Atomic Mail’s secure inbox without losing important conversations.
- POP3 / IMAP Support with Encryption Bridge
Access your Atomic Mail inbox through third-party email clients like Outlook, Thunderbird, or Apple Mail while keeping your emails encrypted. The Encryption Bridge ensures that messages remain secure even when accessed externally, providing flexibility without sacrificing privacy.
💚 We read every suggestion, and we’re committed to building the features you want to see. If you have ideas, requests, or thoughts, don’t hesitate to reach out – we love hearing from our community.
