As the year comes to a close, we want to pause and share what this year really meant for Atomic Mail.
One year ago, Atomic Mail was in an early alpha stage. Heading into Christmas, we’re shipping as a stable beta – with real traction, a fast-moving product, and a clear plan for what we’re building next.
2025 in numbers
The simplest summary of this year: more and more people are switching to secure email, and they are staying with Atomic Mail.
- 1.5M+ registrations since launch
- 160K+ monthly active users
Behind these numbers are people who try Atomic Mail and keep using it. That’s the signal we care about most, and we’re grateful you trust us with something as personal as your inbox.
Product highlights: What we shipped this year
This year wasn’t just growth, it was Atomic Mail becoming more complete.
From alpha to beta
We moved from early alpha to beta, with major improvements in reliability, speed, and day-to-day usability.
Dozens of meaningful updates
We released a lot of new features and improvements, including:
- The AI suite: bringing smart productivity to private email.
- Essential utilities: we launched "Undo Send," blocklists, native notifications, auto-reply, short aliases (premium), and deployed countless fixes and refinements driven by your feedback.
Our first Premium subscription
This was a big step for us. We launched our first paid plan (Atomic Mail Plus) for power users, including:
- Everything in the Free Plan
- Hide My Email
- 15 email aliases total (up from 10 on Free)
- Complete AI Suite
- Help me Write & Help me Answer
- Translator & Grammar Checker
- Summarizer
- Security Helper
- Read Emails Aloud
This supports our sustainable development and helps us keep core privacy features accessible for everyone.

Expanding our network
Atomic Mail had its first time on stage at function1 Conference in Dubai – and we absolutely loved it. Meeting our users & fellow attendees, exchanging insights, and expanding our network alongside so many inspiring teams was a highlight for our whole team.
Thank you to everyone who engaged with us, offered face-to-face feedback, and welcomed our vision for secure email. We learned a lot from this experience and are already planning more activities and announcements for future events.
What’s next
We’re keeping the focus on the things you ask for most and the foundations needed to scale responsibly.
Here’s what we’re working on next:
- Dark mode – one of our most requested visual updates is on the way.
- Protocol support – we are working on IMAP and SMTP support, giving you the freedom to use Atomic Mail with your preferred clients.
- Expanding the ecosystem – we are beginning work on the Atomic Workspace Suite. We are moving beyond just email to build a fully private ecosystem that will eventually include Calendar, Calls, and more.
- More features – We have a packed backlog. Expect a lot of updates to make your inbox even more powerful.
- Core improvements – better infrastructure, improved deliverability, and closing the gaps you keep reporting to us.
